Victoria Ziesenitz, MD, MSc is a Fellow in Pediatric Cardiology with experience in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology and currently works at the University Chilren's Hospital Heidelberg, Germany. She obtained her MD at the University of Heidelberg. The topic of her thesis was a randomized controlled trial on fentanyl drug interactions at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacoepidemiology. She then began her residency training in the Children’s Hospital at the University of Heidelberg and then spent two years in the Division of Pediatric Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics in Basel, Switzerland, where she also completed a MSc in Pediatric Medicines Development and Evaluation which was supported by the EU Project Global Research in Paediatrics (GRiP). Her research interest is focused on pain therapy and opioid pharmacology in children, as well as cardiovascular pharmacology, as well as the optimization of drug therapy in pediatric intensive care.
