University of Florida
Devam A. Desai is a PhD student at the University of Florida's Center of Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology, specializing in Pharmacometrics and Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP). With a rich academic background and hands-on experience in pharmacometrics, he is adept at developing in-silico approaches for novel therapeutics through mechanistic PK-PD modeling. Devam's journey in pharmaceutical sciences began at Gujarat Technological University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy in 2021. He then pursued a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition to his academic pursuits, Devam gained practical experience during his internship at Takeda, where he worked on building a QSP model for cell therapy. Currently, Devam is advancing his research at the University of Florida. His research involves building mechanistic and semi-mechanistic PK-PD models, including TMDD, PBPK, QSP, mPBPK, and population PK-PD models across various therapeutic modalities.
