Mark Mirochnick, M.D. is Professor of Pediatrics and a member of the Division of Neonatology at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center. He has extensive experience in clinical trials investigating the clinical pharmacology of antiretrovirals in neonates, infants, children and pregnant women. He has served as protocol chair, vice-chair, investigator and/or pharmacologist on more than 25 perinatal and pediatric HIV protocols in the US, Africa, South America and Asia sponsored by NIAID, NICHD and CDC. Since 2003 he has chaired the IMPAACT network P1026s protocol, which has performed intensive pharmacokinetic sampling on over 1000 pregnant and postpartum women receiving more than 25 different antiretroviral and anti-TB drugs. He currently serves as co-chair of the US Perinatal HIV Guidelines Committee and is a member of the US Pediatric HIV Guidelines Committee and the WHO Pediatric Antiretroviral Working Group.
